I came up in the barrio, so I know all about being taken advantage of/being abused by/ignored by the moneyed elites. Then I became a poetand started meeting some members the cultural elite, many of whom canbe as self-involved and oblivious as the moneyed elites. It's actually depressing.
What happens when a person is a member of both groups? What happens when they move to your little town? Whatever it is, it's apparently happening in Marfa right now.
